Changes In Income Tax
Withholding
In accordance with new IRS rules,
OCERS is now using new 2009 federal
income tax withholding tables to
determine the amount of federal income
tax to withhold from your monthly
pension check.
Please take a moment now to estimate how much tax you will owe for 2009,
particularly if you have another job or
if you are married and your combined
income puts you in a higher tax bracket.

Safety Members Update
On Jan. 29,
2008, the Orange County Board of
Supervisors voted to seek an injunction
against OCERS prohibiting it from paying
out the retroactive component of the "3%
at 50" retirement benefits for sheriff's
deputies.
